Diet days ... inches

Today is a pretty good day in the fight against obesity and insulin resistance. My weight is down to 269 and I have lost 4 inches around my waist. Trying on pants yesterday, I was fitting into a 44 instead of a 48. That felt pretty good. My swim on friday dropped my blood sugar from 160ml to 120ml, I have not been seeing that sort of drop after exercise, so that's a good sign. My mood has stabilized and I have decent focus. The picture posted today is an older pic. The noodles are zucchini I cut with this thing -> which has been really great for having "normal" feeling meals without feeling like I'm missing out on things like pasta. I know substitution is a dangerous game when dieting, but there is really no way to go wrong eating noodles made out of a zucchini, squash or cucumbers and they are really delicious. I treat them like noodles and dress them with everything from Alfredo or tomato sauce to vinaigrette. Last night's dinner (and today's lunch) was a roast I cooked in the crock pot. I took it out two hours early and it was over cooked, but it was still moist tenter and delicious. I hope to get some more grilling in before the snow falls. Really I hope to keep grilling after the snow falls. until then...
